NIJ Releases Online Version of DNA Initiative Report

Earlier this month, the National Institute of Justice released the online version of the DNA Initiative Report to Congress FY 2011.

Approximately 75 percent of every dollar NIJ receives from congress as part of the DNA Initiative goes directly to crime laboratories and law enforcement.

The annual report details the solicitations for proposals, the grantees who are competitively selected to receive awards, the amount of each award, and abstracts for each grantee project. Major activities include DNA backlog reduction, solving cold cases, research and development, training and technical assistance, and dissemination and outreach.

The annual report contains 399 pages divided into four main sections and 10 subsections. The online materials include:
