What kinds of products do we offer?

We offer many types of materials including: pesticides and their metabolites, environmental standards, explosives, vitamins, and personal care products. Standards Grade chemicals are clearly labeled with an expiration date that is based on years of experience in handling and testing. Products are packaged in small quantities to minimize storage, waste, and disposal requirements. Organic and inorganic chemicals, solutions, and mixtures are available to meet a wide range of specialized laboratory needs.

What if I want something special to fit my needs?

At Chem Service we strive to provide you with the widest ranging product selection in the industry. However, we realize that your work may require something made to your exact specifications. Custom solutions and mixtures are our specialty and comprise a large portion of our business. We use over 50 years of industry experience and expertise to evaluate each request. All analytes are reviewed for compatibility and solubility to ensure the longest shelf life. We provide you with the option of Gravimetric or Quantitative Certification for your custom product. Gravimetric Certification provides you with a guarantee that the analytes in the custom standard are made within 5% of specifications. Quantitative Certification includes verification of the concentration and peak identification.

How do I know the quality of the products?

Over 95% of our neat Standards Grade materials have a purity of 98.0% or greater, and have been analyzed by two or more (where feasible) independent methods of analysis. These standards do not require purity corrections when preparing a solution for use with EPA methods. Our methods of analysis include gas chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, ultra performance liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy. Our more than 13,000 organic and inorganic standards, and solutions, support EPA Methods, ASTM Methods, State UST Methods, Air Monitoring Methods, and International Methods. We offer explosive residue standards, PCB congeners, petroleum hydrocarbon standards for the petrochemical industry and environmental standards, pesticide standards, FAME, and vitamin standards for food analysis. Using years of experience, a library of analytical information from previous testing, and analytical instrumentation we ensure that our results are accurate. Our accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories and ISO Guide 34:2009 General Requirements for the Competence of Reference Material Producers (RMP) are your insurance that quality is our top priority.
