In second quarter, 2016, Leeds Forensic Systems, Inc. will be launching the Trace-Z, a trace evidence comparison microscope encompassing Zeiss components. The Trace-Z offers superior color and intensity balanced images, and can be configured based on an examiner's needs. The Trace-Z offers an industry-leading 23mm field of view and images can be viewed as 100% right, 100% left, divided, or overlapped, in any ratio the the examiner chooses.

Court Case Update

FINGERPRINT EVIDENCE went through a nearly three-year ordeal in the New Hampshire court system, but eventually emerged unscathed. On April 4, 2008, the New Hampshire Supreme Court unanimously reversed the decision of a lower court to exclude expert testimony regarding fingerprint evidence in the case of The State of New Hampshire v. Richard Langill. The case has been remanded back to the Rockingham County Superior Court.
