Webinar: Predicting Human Appearance from DNA

A webinar on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 will discuss how DNA can help predict human appearance, with a particular focus on pigmentation.

 

Hosted by the Forensic Technology Center of Excellence (a program of the National Institute of Justice), the webinar will focus on the principles, methods, and applications of DNA-based prediction of human appearance traits for forensic and anthropological use with specific insights into eye, hair, and skin color prediction from DNA.

The webinar will be presented by Manfred Kayser, Department of Genetic Identification at Erasmus MC University Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands; and Susan Walsh, Department of Biology at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
