Tool Kit: Air Filtration

Here's a few products to help keep your air quality up to spec.

Ambient Air Monitoring Filters from Tisch Scientific

PM 2.5 Ambient Air Monitoring Filters are composed of 2.0um PTFE membranes with a 46.2mm diameter, combined with a Polypropylene support ring ideal for robotic air sampling. Their thermally-stable design and natural chemical resistance make them suitable to withstand environmental pollutants that may contain an array of contaminants, yet still deliver clear and precise results. The Polypropylene support ring assures a flat membrane that does not curl and makes the filter very user-friendly. These filters feature a low tare mass for accurate gravimetric determinations. They meet the requirements for EPA FRM PM 2.5 under 40 CFR Part 50, Appendix L and come sequentially-numbered. Click Here to Learn More

HEPA Air Filtration from Pure Air Systems

Concerned about particulates or odors in your lab or evidence room? Pure Air Systems offers a portable, true, certified HEPA air filtration system that will remove at least 99.97% of all particulate 0.3 microns and larger. All of the Pure Air filtration systems also contain activated carbon for removal of odors, gases, and other VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Keep your team safe from airborne pathogens, drugs, and obnoxious odors. Since 1985, Pure Air Systems has manufactured HEPA-based air filtration systems for use in hospital, laboratory, commercial, and light industrial applications. Click Here to Learn More

Electrostatic Air Purifier from LakeAir

The Maxum Electrostatic Air Purifier removes 97% of airborne particles to .01 microns. The Maxum uses a three-stage filtering system. First, the dirty air passes through the particle ionizer. The impurities are given a negative charge. The second stage is a series of collection plates, where dirty air particles are attracted to the plates and trapped there until the filter is washed. In the third stage, the cleaned air passes through an activated carbon filter where odors and VOCs are removed. Recently, the Maxum was approved by the California Highway Patrol for use in its evidence storage rooms. Click Here to Learn More

Portable Air Filtration from BioKlean

BioKlean Filtration designs and manufactures portable self-contained air filtration systems. The KleanAir 700, 1000, and 2000 revolutionize air filtration by offering versatile, ready-to-plug critical air filtration systems. KleanAirs are engineered for pathogens, virus and bacteria, fumes, and contaminant removal for your hospital, laboratory, crime scenes, or any space where air scrubbing is necessary. KleanAir will filtrate contaminants through three stages of filters with the main filter being HEPA or ULPA. KleanAirs can even tackle and eliminate the most difficult odors. The special DUAC media will keep evidence rooms, storage, labs and scenes odor free. Click Here to Learn More

Air Purifier from AllerAir

The AirMedic Pro 5 Plus Exec is a general-purpose air-purifier unit that filters pollutants which contribute to poor indoor air quality. The unit features AllerAir's standard size, 3-inch deep activated carbon filter to absorb general chemicals, gases, and odors-plus a Super HEPA filter to remove 99.99% of all airborne particles down to 0.1 micron in size (including pollen, dust, mold, bacteria, viruses, and pet dander). Available with an optional Vocarb carbon filter, a special carbon blend to remove VOCs (volatile organic compounds), the most common airborne chemicals in the home. Click Here to Learn More

Fentanyl Filtered Hood from Mystaire

The Latitude Fentanyl Filtered Hood provides law enforcement professionals with another safety tool when handling fentanyl and its analogues. Latitude maximizes user accessibility and incorporates redundant filtration for added safety and easy maintenance. The Latitude was designed with rear-wall pre-filter and HEPA filtration. This design pulls potentially harmful particulate away from the operator's breathing zone in an even horizontal airflow path, increasing particulate capture. Click Here to Learn More
