P&E Professionals to Meet in Florida in August

The Property & Evidence Association of Florida consists of Evidence Custodians, Property Officers, Crime Scene and Lab Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and Directors from the State of Florida who handle, dispose, transport, collect, convert, store, and test property and evidence.

 

The PEAF conference mission is to provide for the research, collection, and educational exchange of information relative to the property and evidence function. We promote the professionalism of property and evidence personnel and the high standards of performance needed to accomplish each task.

The PEAF 2018 Educational Conference will be held August 27-29 in Orlando, Florida.

Forensic Podiatry (Part Two of Two)

THE DISCIPLINE of forensic podiatry—or, in other words, the examination of pedal evidence—has progressed significantly over the past ten years. It is no longer a question of “What can you do with a footprint?” but rather, “Who can we use to evaluate the footprint?” Cases involving pedal evidence, especially bloody footprints and issues of determining shoe sizing or fit issues compared to questioned footwear, have become more common over the past two or three years.
