Webinar: Marijuana Analysis in a New Frontier

February 18, 2020 — As part of the continuing ASCLD Train the Director Series, presented by the NIJ's Forensic Technology Center of Excellence, a webinar on March 5 will examine the legal landscape of marijuana and hemp in two specific jurisdictions: one with legalized marijuana and one without. The webinar will focus on changes to state legislation that occurred in response to the 2018 Farm Bill; consideration of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) vs. total THC; how to communicate with stakeholders about the limitations of testing; tools and training materials provided to law enforcement; current analytical schemes and reporting language; and plans for future methodology.
