There's an App for Spectrophotometry

Shimadzu has developed the Shimadzu UV iPhone® app, which is now available for download in the Apple iTunes® store. This free app gives any UV-Vis spectroscopist a reliable tool that provides routine information quickly from anywhere.

The app allows scientists to monitor their solvents’ chemical and physical properties at any time. This includes lower limit of useable wavelength, melting point and boiling point values and more for each solvent. Users can choose solvents easily by scrolling through a list.

The Shimadzu UV app’s unit converter is a convenient way for scientists to reference measurements and conversions that are useful in laboratory applications. These include distance, mass, pressure, temperature, angles and more.
