Introduction to Authentication of Digital Images
From Thursday, November 02 2017
To Friday, November 03 2017
Every day

 Sponsor: Amped Software

Description: This class is for those analysts involved in the authentication of digital multimedia evidence. Graduates will acquire basic level training in the techniques and skills necessary to perform basic authentication examinations on digital images in a “forensic science” setting as well as to package, deliver, and present those findings in their local court room context. After an overview of the technological and legal aspects of working with digital multimedia evidence, basic handling techniques are discussed. Beginning with the end in mind, each example is presented and students work from the standpoint of an eventual testimonial experience. Thus the work flow serves to both build the experience (and memory reinforcement) of performing the actions of analysis whists preparing the student to eventually present the work to
the trier of fact.
