More Than 60 Professionals Gather for Tennessee IAI Conference 2017

The Tennessee IAI held their annual educational conference last month in middle Tennessee, hosted at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in the training rooms. There were more than 60 attendees that traveled from all over the state to attend the three-day conference.

Homicide Investigators Hold 24th Annual Symposium

The International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA) was formed more than 25 years ago to provide active support to law enforcement death professionals through leadership, training, and networking. Each year the association holds a week long symposium in support of its mission. The IHIA recently held its 24th Annual IHIA Symposium at The Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida. In attendance were over 350 law enforcement, coroners/medical examiners, and forensics professionals from throughout the U.S. along with representatives from nine foreign countries.

4th Annual Cold Case Conference Wrap-Up

The 4th annual American Investigative Society of Cold Cases conference was once again a tremendous success, with guest speakers, all AISOCC members, and cold case experts from various disciplines. That is what makes AISOCC successful in solving the unsolved: we look at it from a multitude of lenses.

4th International Meeting of the Society for Wildlife Forensic Science

Scientists from more than 30 countries convened in Edinburgh, Scotland June 5, 2017 to present their successes and struggles in the field of Wildlife Forensics Science. Often called the “Silent Witnesses," crimes committed against animals and plants alike often lead to population reductions to the point of extinction. Law enforcement and crime labs face many challenges in the prosecution of criminals in the illegal killing, capture, transport, and trade of a host of animal and plant species.

2017 ICSIA CSI Conference

Recently about 70 people representing over 30 law enforcement agencies and forensic providers from throughout the United States, Jamaica, and Belize convened in Chandler, Arizona to attend the International Crime Scene Investigators Association’s 4th CSI Conference. This year’s conference was held June 6-8 and focused on training, education, and technology for crime scene investigators working out in the field.
