January 20, 2021 — The Academy of Forensic Nursing has announced their inaugural AFN Virtual Conference, to be held June 9-10, 2021. The focus will be "Advancing the Footprint of Forensic Nursing: Informing an Evidence-Based Future".

"We have designed this conference to specifically provide an opportunity for novice and expert forensic nurses and forensic providers, from the U.S. and worldwide, to present evidence-based sessions that highlight work that is being done in locations around the world," said an AFN spokesperson in a recent release.

The AFN will seek presentation proposals and poster proposals from five regions: International, Eastern U.S., Central U.S., Mountain U.S., and Pacific U.S.

Conference content on Day One will be specific to the novice forensic examiner, and will provide fundamental and foundational content. Day Two will be specific to advanced-practice forensic examiners. All sessions will be open to attendees.
